Start Your Story - College Promotional Launch

At John XXIII College, we believe that university is more than just study, it’s where your adult life truly begins. It’s where friendships are formed, confidence is discovered, and futures take shape. That’s why we’re proud to share our new promotional video, Start Your Story a celebration of the lived experience of our students and the transformative power of residential life.

The video brings to life what makes John’s so special through those who know it best, our current residents. It captures the energy, warmth, and diversity of the College community and the countless ways students shape their experience here.

From shared meals in the dining hall to late-night study sessions, campus sports, corridor chats, and creative collaborations, Start Your Story shows the rhythms of college life and how they set the foundations for lifelong learning and connection. It’s an invitation to see what’s possible when you surround yourself with people who support your journey and challenge you to grow.

A New Direction for Storytelling

This video marks a key step in the College’s broader strategic approach to communications and engagement.

Director of Development & Community, William Ward explains,

“The Start Your Story campaign is about anchoring our narrative in the student voice. We want prospective students, families, and alumni to see themselves in the stories we tell because every John’s resident contributes to the College’s legacy in their own way. This video gives a glimpse of what it’s like to begin that journey.”

The Power of Community

Filmed entirely on site with real students, the video is also a reflection of the sense of belonging that defines the John XXIII College experience. Whether you’re moving interstate, finding independence, or seeking a deeper connection to university life, the College is designed to support every student as they begin life beyond school.

This is more than a place to live, it’s a place to grow. A place to try new things, to find your people, and to start becoming the person you want to be.
