High Performers and the Leadership Mindset

Last night’s J23 Conversations offered a deep dive into what it means to lead and perform at the highest level, featuring guest speaker Chris Webb, a seasoned high-performance leader across Rugby Australia, Japan Rugby, and Equestrian Australia.

Focusing on the theme High Performers and the Leadership Mindset, Chris explored the attributes that define effective leadership and the traits that distinguish the best from the rest. Drawing on decades of experience, he examined how world-class leaders manage people, align performance with purpose, and foster cultures of accountability, connection, and trust.

Participants were guided through the pillars of high performance, exploring the mindset and systems needed to deliver sustained results. Chris also emphasised the importance of self-leadership, setting clear behaviours and standards, and creating workplaces where people feel a deep sense of belonging and value.

It was an energising and thought-provoking evening, offering practical insights for anyone looking to lead with clarity, authenticity, and impact.

A huge thank you to Chris Webb for sharing his time and wisdom.
