The inaugural John XXIII College London Reunion was held on Sunday, bringing together alumni from across the UK and Europe for a night of stories, connection, and celebration.
Held in a cosy venue in the heart of London, the event welcomed ex-ressies who travelled from Amsterdam and Paris to be there, testament to the enduring spirit of the College community, no matter the distance. Among those present were two John’s couples who recently tied the knot and an exchange alum who spent just a year at the College in 2010 but still feels deeply connected to the J23 family.
The energy on the afternoon was vibrant, with alumni spanning multiple generations sharing memories and updates. Guests expressed their gratitude to the College for supporting the event with drinks and nibbles, which helped set the tone for an enjoyable and relaxed evening.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with strong interest in holding another London gathering in 2026 or 2027. Looking ahead to the College’s 60th Anniversary celebrations in 2027, the success of this reunion has sparked conversation about a larger-scale European event for alumni who may not be able to return to Australia.
The London Reunion marks a promising start to international alumni engagement, and we look forward to seeing this community grow in the lead-up to the 60th.
