Semester 1 has been a great showcase of artistic talent at the College.
We kicked things off with ‘Mugs and Melodies’ during O-Week, a relaxed morning of painting, music, and connection. From there, our residents hit the ground running with Interhall Trivia, placing 5th.
Debating followed, with strong participation and loud support, especially from our first years. Then came the 40 Hours of Film Festival, where ten of our residents wrote, filmed, and produced the hilarious Finding Friday, shot across Canberra.
Theatre Sports brought the laughs, with four residents on stage and over 60 supporters in the audience, the biggest crowd of any hall! At Big Night Out, our talented band rocked the stage for over 2000 attendees, with 150 Johns students in the crowd.
We wrapped up with the IAC Chess Tournament, where our team secured an impressive 3rd place.
It’s been a fantastic semester of creativity, connection and college pride and we’re excited to see what Semester 2 brings!
