Strengthening Pathways from College to Career with EY

Building pathways from college to career - strengthening our partnership with EY to unlock internships, programs and graduate opportunities for John’s students.

Johns continues to strengthen its industry connections, with Director of Outreach & Operations Lachlan Creighton attending the recent EY Career Services Lunch. The event brought together university and industry partners to explore how organisations like EY can better support students as they transition from study to professional life.

Hosted by Ana Gencic - Early Careers Talent Attraction & Acquisition Specialist at EY, the lunch provided insights into the firm’s recruitment strategy and student programs, alongside opportunities to connect with partners and representatives across EY’s service lines. For Lachlan, the focus was clear: understanding what EY has to offer John’s students and identifying tangible pathways that support career readiness, employability and long-term success.

The relationship with EY is already delivering real outcomes. Following last year’s EY Breakfast held at the College, several John’s students were selected to participate in EY’s Career Compass Program and Vacationer Program, key stepping stones that position students strongly for acceptance into the highly competitive EY Graduate Program. Engagements like these reflect the College’s commitment to building meaningful partnerships that open doors for students beyond the residential experience.
